Floating island quai de Cologny

The quai de Cologny has great attractions for bathers:  funky constructions made of 100% Swiss oak, designed for sustainability.

The circular platform with a diameter of 40 metres forms a sort of floating island on the lake, where you can relax and enjoy the sublime view before taking a dip. In the same place, you can also enjoy a 45-metre pontoon bridge on stilts that separates the swimming area from the port area. This place, which is a little further out of the city, is easily accessible by public transport or by bike along the lake.

Swimming pier and aquatic reed bed at Quai de Cologny

Imagine crossing an aquatic reed bed made up of 7,000 reeds to reach a stunning C-shaped pier and enjoy a dream-like swimming experience. The swimming ladders allow you to easily descend into the water, admire the view, and appreciate the biodiversity protected by this construction. Head to Quai de Cologny to discover this wonderful spot for swimmers.

For a unique atmosphere

Swimming in the Rhône

Geneva’s residents love the banks of the Rhône.

Barbecues and picnics of all kinds create a welcoming atmosphere and bathers enjoy swimming in the midst of nature, in the heart of trees and greenery, letting themselves be carried away by the cool, translucent water. Beware, the Rhône has its moods though, and swimmers must be mindful of currents and adhere to safety regulations.
