Learn to know how the Jet d’Eau in Geneva became an international symbol.

Since 1891 the Jet d’Eau has been one of the best known symbols of Geneva. It represents the ambition, vitality and international reputation of a forward-looking city that protects its environment.

The Jet d’Eau is 140 metres high and shoots out water at a speed of 200 km/hr. It is owned by SIG, which maintains it and makes sure it is working properly all year round.
