Built by Geneva architect Marc Camoletti to bring together different public collections under one roof, it was inaugurated in 1910. Its collection is highly diversified: paintings and sculptures, graphic arts, archaeological collections, furniture and domestic objects, weapons, musical instruments, textiles, watches, enamelware and jewelry. Only a small proportion of these 650,000 objects are on permanent display. Temporary exhibitions regularly reveal new aspects. We invite you to discover the Musée d'art et d'histoire (MAH) as you please. There's no particular order to your visit, and you can spend as little or as much time as you like.
