Biography :

Alkistis Protopsalti was born in Alexandria, Egypt to Greek parents and grew up in Athens. She has been a leading figure of the Greek music scene for more than four decades, with numerous gold and platinum records in her career, countless concerts and performances - including recitals - not only in Greece but also in the best theaters and operas worldwide

She has performed her songs at the Metropolitan Museum of New York and the Moscow Opera House, conveying Greek music and culture in her own unique way and always receiving rave reviews.
Over the years, she has collaborated with the most important Greek composers, lyricists and directors, as well as with world- renowned artists, such as the Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo, Goran Bregovic, the members of the Gipsy Kings Mario Reyes, Natasha Atlas and Tito Puente .
Her performances are innovative and her stage presence unique.
She is explosive, dynamic, tender and seductive with her interpretation, while at the same time she fascinates with her Mediterranean temperament
