Mother Dubber: Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Mother Dubber has been digging through records since 2001, treating her vinyl collection as an anthropological archive. Her aim is to find parallels between the great African traditions and the modern sonic expressions of the diaspora, from the West African disco records inherited from her father to the contemporary electronic music productions that dominated her childhood.A strong universal struggle and alliance can be heard through his musical curation, focusing on a particular era or region in each set.
Ras Mali: Arriving from Mali in the 1990s with hundreds of cassettes of traditional music, Ras Mali has since established himself in French-speaking Switzerland as a leading collector of African music. From coupé-décalé to soukouss and afro-beat, Ras Mali's DJ set demonstrates the musical dynamism of the African continent and its influence around the world.
