University photo exhibition | Diversity 2024: sexism before our eyes
A photo exhibition created by students from the course ‘Understanding and addressing prejudice’ and the ‘Academic Horizon’ programme on the issues of sexism and sexual harassment.
In 2017, the #MeToo movement raised awareness of sexism and the violence suffered by women. How does sexism manifest itself today? What are its consequences? What can women and men do to combat it?
Students from the course ‘Understanding and addressing prejudice’ and the ‘Academic Horizon’ programme took part in a reportage workshop led by photographer Denis Ponté, using images to explore various aspects of sexism and sexual harassment.
7 students – Shivani Berry, Anaïs De Morais, Seyhun Eroglu, Isabel Guillinta, Anna Guliaieva, Andrea Rodriguez and Alicia Semon – express their views on these issues through a series of photographs.
This exhibition is part of the ‘University | Diversity’ series of exhibitions, of which it is the 4th edition, as well as the ‘Human Rights Week’ and the ‘For a safer university’ awareness campaign.
