Three times a year, the galleries and cultural institutions in the Bains district open their new exhibitions and welcome the public free of charge from 6 pm to 9 pm in a thriving party atmosphere. Solo and group exhibitions and round-table discussions are organised to showcase the projects of the members of the Quartier des Bains contemporary art association as well as Geneva’s artistic scene.

Grand Théâtre de Genève, the great opera house

Grand Théâtre de Genève is the largest arts venue in French-speaking Switzerland. The De Neuve stage hosts lyrical and dance productions according to the stagione (season) model, as well as concert, recital, and ballet performances. The recently restored Beaux-Arts and Second Empire style building on Place de Neuve is a landmark of Geneva, which can be admired during a daytime stroll or enjoyed for a sublime evening opera.

Théâtre de Carouge, the new showcase for art

Théâtre de Carouge is a historical venue that has put Carouge on the national as well as international map. After three years of work, the theatre now welcomes audiences in a brand-new building, thought out in detail for a unique artistic experience, which might be compared to “the soul of a violin, the final piece of wood that the craftsperson places at the heart of the instrument and which will determine its sound and vibration.”
