And in Geneva, gourmets don’t deviate from tradition… For the occasion we’ve come up with a selection of the best game restaurants in Geneva as well as a list of the best meat establishments. Beef

The temple of exceptional meat. Beef is specialised in high quality beef and is supplied by the renowned Metzger Brothers. Chez Philippe

La Huchette à Carouge

Le Patio

Beef or lobster? This is the gourmet dilemma you’ll face at Le Patio! Located on the left bank of the city, the bistro has been for many years a den for hedonists in search of exceptional meat or divine seafood. For meat, beef is in the spotlight (Braised oxtail ravioli, beef tartar, grilled Chateaubriand, Swiss Angus Tomahawk…). L’Esquisse

Head to L’Esquisse, a stone’s throw from the lake, in the heart of the Eaux-Vives district, for some delicious meat dishes, grilled or cooked in a Josper charcoal oven to lend it unique flavour and taste. Au Pied de Cochon

Located on the Place du Bourg-de-Four in the Old Town, this establishment is a must. Lovers of good food, quality products and hearty, 100% homemade dishes, this place is for you. From October onwards, the restaurant has delicious game suggestions in store, like this year’s Grandma’s venison stew or the Noisettes of venison with cranberries. Côté Square

The autumn menu has just been revealed at Hôtel Bristol! In its Côté Square restaurant, the hotel will be offering a menu over the coming weeks dedicated to game. Chef Bruno Marchal has thought up a “Hunters’ Menu” to tantalise your taste buds, featuring Half-cooked wild boar slices, Entrecote of venison in a shallot condiment crust and Apple and salted caramel entremets.  bristol.ch 

Domaine de Châteauvieux

This is one of Geneva’s iconic venues for game in Geneva. And it’s a starred one too! With one Michelin star, Domaine de Châteauvieux and its chef Philippe Chevrier are particularly fond of autumn dishes. Le Dix Vins à Carouge

This bistro, a real institution in the Sardinian city, is a must for all game enthusiasts. Every year, the locals are full of praise for the autumnal suggestions of Le Dix Vins. With an exceptional wine list, the establishment is a treat for hedonists and other foodies. Don’t forget to reserve!

A special game menu and dedicated evenings are on the programme for the coming weeks at Le Lexique.
